Warranty Conditions of Acceleration Hub GmbH

1. Scope of the Warranty Conditions

Acceleration Hub GmbH provides a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty of 24 months or 10,000 kilometers—whichever comes first—for all new vehicles of the HMW brand. For the batteries of the HMW Electrics model series, a manufacturer’s warranty of 2 years or 600 cycles (with more than 80% State of Health) applies, whichever comes first. An exception applies in cases of severe usage conditions.

2. Requirements for a Warranty Claim

A warranty claim is only valid if:

  • The defect is reported immediately upon discovery,
  • The vehicle has not been modified and remains in its original delivery condition,
  • Regular maintenance has been carried out according to the manual,
  • Maintenance records can be presented upon request,
  • The vehicle has been operated properly.

Maintenance and repairs must be performed by authorized service centers or HMW partners. In the case of self-repairs, the warranty claim may be voided if the repairs were not documented, properly executed, or approved.

3. Not Covered by the Warranty

The following cases are not covered by the warranty:

  • Damage not reported in a timely manner
  • Vehicles used in competitions or sporting events
  • Damage resulting from overuse or failure to follow the operating manual
  • Damage caused by falls, accidents, or improper use
  • Damage resulting from modifications or manipulations intended to enhance performance, especially interventions involving:
    • Motor
    • Battery
    • Controller
    • Electrical wiring
  • Wear-and-tear parts and operational material degradation, such as:
    • Spark plugs, light bulbs, fuses, batteries
    • Filters, fuel hoses, clutch plates
    • Chains, sprockets, drive belts
    • Brake pads and brake discs
    • Bowden cables, speedometer and tachometer cables
    • Tires, tubes, seals
    • Oils, lubricants, cleaning materials, inspection parts
  • Consequential and indirect damages, such as:
    • Downtime, loss of earnings
    • Recovery, towing, and overnight costs
  • Paint and corrosion damage due to environmental influences (e.g., road salt, industrial emissions, stone chips) or improper cleaning
  • For electric vehicles, the warranty does not cover the following cases:
    • Battery storage below 0°C
    • Deep discharge or exposure to moisture
    • Use of high-pressure cleaners or immersion baths for cleaning

In such cases, transport and shipping costs are also borne by the customer.

4. Scope of Services in the Event of a Warranty Claim

The warranty applies only to material and manufacturing defects. Warranty services must be authorized by the HMW Mobility Service.

Services not covered by the warranty include:

  • Maintenance costs
  • Routine work
  • Replacement of wear-and-tear parts such as: tires, brakes, bearings, seals, chains, seats, etc.

Repairs are carried out at the technical discretion of Acceleration Hub GmbH through:

  • Replacement of defective parts
  • Overhaul or repair
  • Compensation for labor costs at a rate of €50 net per hour

Note: The warranty period does not extend for parts replaced or repaired during the warranty period; it ends with the expiration of the original warranty period of the entire vehicle.

Replaced parts become the property of Acceleration Hub GmbH.

5. Submitting a Warranty Claim

Warranty inquiries and claims must be submitted exclusively by email to: service@hmw-mobility.com

Required documentation:

  • Proof of purchase
  • Serial number / VIN
  • Description of the defect
  • Photo or video documentation
  • Proof of proper maintenance

6. Transferability of the Warranty

The manufacturer’s warranty is non-transferable and applies exclusively to the original purchaser from the dealer. In the event of resale, the warranty claim expires. Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.

7. Statutory Warranty

Regardless of this warranty, statutory warranty rights apply in accordance with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act (KSchG).
